Forty-one people, twenty-six of them in the composites shop. There is no engineering department separate from production — it is one building, and the distance from a drawing to the part is twenty metres.

CompositesHand lamination and autoclave cure of monocoques and crash structures. The drawing office is twenty metres from the layup table. When a part does not lay up, the drawing changes.

Race data engineer
Vantera MotorsportTelemetry and post-session analysis for two GT3 R entries and the Nürburgring development car. Around eighteen race weekends a year. Failures are explained to the engineer who drew the part, in the same room.

Customer programmesResident technician for the North American customer cars. The parts store, trackside support, and the first call when something breaks on a Saturday. A competition licence is required, or the willingness to obtain one.
