Matilde Rebelo joins the factory GT3 programme for 2026
Rebelo, 27, moves up from a customer GT4 R seat after two seasons in the GT4 European Series. She takes the third stint in the No. 42 car and continues as a development driver on the 2027 aerodynamic package.

Matilde Rebelo has been promoted to the factory GT3 programme for 2026, taking the third stint in the No. 42 car across the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.
She spent 2024 and 2025 in a customer GT4 R in the GT4 European Series, finishing fourth and then second in the Silver Cup. Over those two seasons she did not retire a car from a mechanical failure that originated with the driver.
Development work continues
Rebelo has run the 2027 aerodynamic package in testing since October. That work continues alongside the race programme — she keeps the development seat because the engineers wanted the same reference across both.
She reports what the car did, not what she wanted it to do. That is rarer than it should be.
The No. 42 crew is otherwise unchanged for 2026.
